Foundation

In the spirit of Camilla and Earl McGrath, the foundation in their name supports opportunities for professional visual artists, creative writers and musical composers to research, develop and create new work in a supportive environment, and to allow for opportunities for networking and exchange amongst their peers. For this reason, funding established artist and writer residency programs are its top priority. Preference is given to U.S. or Italian-based  organizations.

All U.S. applicants must be currently recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) public charities as not a private foundation, and have been in operation at least 5 years.

Grants are awarded for a one-year grant period.   The maximum amount the Foundation distributes annually is $20,000.   At the discretion of the Board of Directors of the McGrath Foundation, those funds may be awarded entirely to one organization in its full amount, or divided into smaller grants amongst several organizations.

Grants are to be utilized strictly according to the terms and conditions set forth in the Camilla and Earl McGrath Foundation’s grant award letter.

Deadline for applications is November 1st. Selection(s) will be announced on December 1.
